This photograph was signed by British Cartographer Millvina Dean. At two months old, she was the youngest passenger on board and thus the youngest survivor of the sinking of the Titanic.
She was also the last living survivor until her death in 2009. Millvina Dean and her family were third class passengers aboard the Titanic. This signed photograph depicts the Titanic departing from Southampton, England shortly after noon on April 10th 1912.
N the night of 14 April 1912. Millvina, her mother, and her brother were placed in Lifeboat 10. The survival rate of a third class passenger was around 25%, so it is likely that Mr. Dean's decisive response was the reason for his family's survival.
